Remember To Lock Your Vehicle!

The Eau Claire Police Department wants to remind citizens it is important to lock your vehicle and not leave valuables in plain sight. A recent query by the Eau Claire Police Department Crime Analyst revealed there have been 223 theft from auto cases in the City of Eau Claire for 2011. Many of the cases involve items being taken from unlocked vehicles (58%). Please take the time to lock your vehicle and remove valuable items from plain view to reduce the possibility of being a victim!
